The Dream That Never Came True
Walking up the blue stairs by the nasty smelling lunch room, I saw her playing the piano. She looked as beautiful as a princess. Her shoulder length black hair, that was a dark brown in the light, had been braided in a tricky design of a spider web. She was wearing basketball shorts and a white t-shirt. At that time all I could think of was, she always looks so beautiful, even after playing basketball. I couldn't even think of what to say, but as I walked up words just seemed to flow from my soft glossy light brown lips. "Hi," I said to her.
"Hi, um Aundrea, right?" she asked.
"Yes, you're right. So, what are you playing?" I asked.
"Well I'm playing a song I learned in church." she said.
"Really it sounds like something I learned in choir. I think it goes 'I'm greatful for the thing that you have done," just as I begin to sing she joins in playing along with me. It was like a fairy tale moment,I thought, "flowing from my heart are the issues of my heart is greatfulness'."
"Wow you are a really good singer. The other day when you were singing I had just thought you couldn't sing or you were nerve." she commented.
"I am shy, just not with singing anymore. I love to sing I just don't want people finding out I can sing and making me sing all the time. Like I want to be a singer when I grow up, so I'm trying my hardest not to be shy anymore." I confused.
"Really it's hard to believe you would be shy with a voice like that. But don't worry I'm shy too. So you aren't alone." She replied.
"So may I hear more?"
"Well I made up something this evening,' she confessed.
"May I hear it?"
'Well, ok but don't laugh." she commanded.
"Don't worry." I assured her, "I would never do anytime to hurt you emotionally or physically." I kindly told her.
"Really you wouldn't?" she asked.
As I stared into her chocolate brown eyes, life felt like a fairy tale or a dream. Her eyes had an amazing glow in them, a glow I could never have a glow of innocents. She made me fell as if we were the only ones in the world, as if nothing even mattered anymore only me and her. This was a felling I hadn't ever felt, but at that moment it felt right. I'm not sure if they could or not, but it seemed like her eyes could see into my soul. I was I were able to just tell he how I fell or just ask her to dinner or something like that I'm scared she would like me.
'Hey! Wake up! It noon time to wake up." came the voice of my roommate Mage.
"Oh my God, Mage you just disturbed one of the best dreams ever!" I complained.
"So you were dreaming about her again?"
"Yes, and this time it was like a fairy tale."
"Well you know what, you should just talk to her since you like her so much," she said.
"Well this is different, she lives in Indianapolis. We both know my mother is not going to drive me to see her nor is she going to let me drive there.
"Well you know what I think you should do, and if you do it you should wear this," she said as she handed me an outfit.
"Do you like it?" I asked her after I got dressed.
"Yes, I love it you look amazing!"
I look in the mirror and notice she was right my Ashley Steward stoned blue jeans accent my curves and my black top makes me look slim.
"Wow I do look good."
"I told you." She replied with an attitude.
"Well I guess I was go and talk to her since I'm dressed." I said as I walked out the room
While walking down the hall I heard a faint cry coming from room 317. Not quite sure if I should go or not I went see what was wrong. When I arrived to the door I slowly opened it and walked in. The room was as cold as ice and I could smell the musk in the air. There must have been something on the ground, because it was hard for me to move.
"Hello," I said, hoping someone was playing a joke on me.
"Yes!" came a voice from what seemed to be nowhere, "What do you want?"
"Nothing." I said trying to leave the room.
"Wait," the voice said, "Are you going to talk to Casey, because she likes you."
"How do you know that?" I asked the voice.
"She told me." Daniella said as she got off her bed.
"Ok, I'm going to talk to her right now." Still scared of what may happen I left the room in search of her.
So there she was, the women of my dreams, playing the grand piano looking as beautiful as a princess. Wow! This is just like my dream. This is going to end out in a kiss, because this time I'm not dreaming. Well maybe I should pinch myself to check. "Ouch! That hurt." I said.
"What hurt?" she asked.
"Nothing, so what are you playing?" I quickly asked changing the subject.
"Well, Greatful, I learned it in church." Casey replied.
"Oh I learned that song in choir this year."
"Hey! Daniella told me you liked me," she confused, "I sorry but I really don't like you. So can we just be friends?"
"Well I guess so," I said, "I would be call with that."
"Really? Wow! That's cool! You know I never heard you sing before." she said.
